Help Rotary End Polio
For decades, Rotary has made the eradication of polio one of its highest priorities. In 1988, Rotary became a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, working alongside global health partners to protect children and stop the transmission of this devastating disease.
Since 1988, Rotary and its partners have helped immunize more than 3 billion children in 122 countries and reduced polio cases worldwide by 99.9%. Rotary has contributed more than $3 billion and countless volunteer hours to the global eradication effort. Today, wild poliovirus remains endemic in just two countries—but as long as polio exists anywhere, children everywhere remain at risk.
Why Your Donation Matters
Finishing the fight requires continued vaccination, disease surveillance, outbreak response, and the people and infrastructure needed to reach children around the world. Rotary raises $50 million each year for polio eradication, with each dollar matched with two additional dollars from the Gates Foundation, for up to $150 million annually.
The World’s Largest Polio Walk brings Rotary clubs and communities together to raise awareness and funds for this ongoing effort. Here in the Twin Ports, Duluth-Superior area Rotary clubs, community members, families, and friends will gather at Wade Stadium on October 24, 2026 to walk together in support of a polio-free world.
Your donation helps Rotary and its partners continue the work needed to reach every child and protect the progress already made. Whether you join us at Wade Stadium or support the effort from afar, every contribution brings us another step closer to making polio the second human disease in history to be eradicated.
Together, we can end polio for good.
A 3% service fee will be added to credit card payments. Covering this fee allows 100% of your donation to support Rotary’s work to end polio worldwide.
